Edwin N. Hubbell

Edwin Nelson Hubbell ( born August 13, 1815 in Coxsackie, New York; † date of death unknown ) was an American politician. Between 1865 and 1867 he represented the State of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Edwin Nelson Hubbell was born about six months after the end of the British - American War in Coxsackie and grew up there. He pursued an academic career. On October 6, 1836, he married Catharine Cannel. As a supervisor in Greene County, he worked for several years. Politically, he was a member of the Democratic Party.

In the congressional elections of 1864 for the 39th Congress, he was in the 13th electoral district of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of John B. Steele on March 4, 1865. He retired after the March 3, 1867 out of the Congress.

After his conference time he moved to East Saginaw ( Michigan), where he worked 1883-1887 as a clerk ( clerk ) for a lumber company. Between 1887 and 1890 he was Assistant City Treasurer and 1894-1896 Deputy City Treasurer.
