Edwin Plowden, Baron Plowden of Plowden

Edwin Noel Plowden Auguste, Baron Plowden ( born January 6, 1907 † 15 February 2001) was a British industrialist and official in the HM Treasury.

Life

Until 1929 he attended Pembroke College, Cambridge. On February 17, 1959 given the title Baron Plowden of Plowden was awarded. In the session of 1979/80 he was a member of the Committee on the European Communities. He died of hypertension. His wife Bridget Plowden (Lady Plowden ) was chairman of a group that the Plowdenreport wrote on Primary Education 1967.
