Eecke

Eecke ( Flemish: Eke ) is a commune with 1166 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Nord, in the Nord -Pas -de -Calais. It belongs administratively to the Arrondissement Dunkerque and Canton Steenvoorde.

Geography

The municipality is located in the territory of French Flanders, in what are called the Monts de Flandre, approximately seven kilometers northeast of Hazebrouck and 35 kilometers southeast of Dunkirk. Neighboring communities of Eecke are:

History
