Eem

The Eemian is a river in the Netherlands, in the north of the province of Utrecht, with a length of almost 19 kilometers. It flows from Amersfoort to Eemmeer ( Eemsee ).

The Eemian was named after this small river, as had been promoted near Amersfoort in 1875 at a hole material from this time to days.

City Eembrugge at the Eemian

Eembrugge is a place of community Baarn on the border of the municipality in the Dutch province of Utrecht Eemnes. It is one of the smallest places that ever got city rights in the Netherlands. With the exception of the part in the community Eemnes Eembrugge has 130 inhabitants ( 2004).
