Egbert of Lindisfarne

Egbert of Lindisfarne (also Ecgberht; † 821 ) was 802-821 Bishop of Lindisfarne.

He succeeds by Higbald of Lindisfarne on, received his episcopal consecration on June 11, 802, and led the diocese until his death in 821 him, the Latin -language poem Carmen de abbatibus dedicated to the his lifetime by his brother Æthelwulf was written and is now kept in the British Museum, among others.
