Egil Johansen (orienteer)

Egil Johansen ( born August 18, 1954) is a former Norwegian orienteers. 1976 and 1978 he was World Champion in singles, 1978, with the relay.

At the World Championships 1976 in Aviemore, he was Rolf Pettersson world champion in singles and World Championship runner in the relay before Sweden. Two years later at the World Championships in the Norwegian Kongsberg he achieved the double in which he successfully defended his title in the singles before the Finn Risto Nuuros and Simo Nurminen and with the season (Jan Fjärestad, Svein Jacobsen and Eystein Weltzien ) became world champion. 1979 in Tampere he was in the individual behind Norwegian Øyvin Thon Vice World Champion in the relay but only sixth. In the Norwegian season running he won for 1980 and 1982 at the Nordic Championships two titles.

Between 1975 and 1980 he recorded nine victories in the Norwegian Championships.
