Egisto Pandolfini

Egisto Pandolfini ( born February 19, 1926 in Lastra a Signa ) is a retired Italian footballer, who participated with the national team of his native country at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil in 1950 and 1954 in Switzerland.

Career

Egisto Pandolfini was born on 19 February 1926 in Lastra a Signa, a small town in the province of Florence. His footballing career started in 1945 at Fiorentina, but he left after one year to join the FC Empoli. But even in Empoli, he was not happy and returned after he played another year at SPAL to his hometown club back. When Fiorentina Pandolfini then remained four years. In 1952, he went on to the Italian capital for AS Roma. Since the Roma was then ascended straight from the B series and did not have its present strength, Pandolfini also won a title with this club.
