The elections to the Shura in Egypt in 2010 were carried out on 1 and on June 8, 2010 in Egypt.

The Shura Council is the upper house of Egyptian bicameral system. Like all elections in the reign of President Hosni Mubarak Muhammad were these elections neither fair nor free and must be regarded as a sham elections. International election observers were not admitted.

Election procedures

From a total of 264 seats in the Shura 88 every three years are selected, further appointed by the President 44. From 446 candidates are 115 representatives of political parties, 331 are Independent.
