Egyptian United Arab Republic referendum, 1958

The union referendum in Egypt in 1958 was held on February 21, 1958 simultaneously with a referendum in Syria. Voted on the union between Egypt and Syria to form the United Arab Republic (UAR ) and the election of Gamal Abdel Nasser as president of the VAR. Both proposals were accepted with less than 300 votes against.
