Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) is a pop ballad by Stefani Germanotta and Martin Kierszenbaum, which was recorded in 2008 by the U.S. pop singer Lady Gaga for her debut album The Fame. The single was released only in Australia, New Zealand and France as a physical format. Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say ) recorded the fourth single from the artist.

Background

Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) comes from the early collaboration between Lady Gaga and Vincent Herbert, the A & R manager of their record label Cherrytree Records or Intercope Records in the USA. The single was first released on January 10, 2009 in New Zealand and appeared a few days later on 30 January 2009 in Australia. The lyrics deals with the end of a relationship that was doomed from the outset to failure. Due to the small numbers, the Australian pressing of the single is considered a coveted collector's item and obtained at online auction houses average about 200 euros. Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) was the second most played track on Australian radio the week of 15 December 2008.

Music Video

The music video of Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) was inspired by the 1950s. It was filmed on January 9, 2009. Director was Joseph Kahn. At the beginning of the video you can see how Lady Gaga rides a Vespa. In the first 20 seconds only men, Lady Gaga and were filmed. In the first main scene shows Gaga with some friends laughing and joking tear as she stands on the seat. Then we see Gaga in a bed to sleep, wake up and reveal her pink high heels. Lady Gaga sings and cooks for a man in the house while she is dancing. Finally, Gaga is shown in a yellow floral dress and yellow watch. Gaga said the video that they " wanted to show another side of himself - perhaps a domestic ' girly ' side" and that she " wanted to create a video that will burn holes in the brains of all people."

Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) debuted on January 18, 2009 in Australia at number 38 due to high download speeds. The following week, the song climbed to number 32, and on March 1, 2009, Eh, Eh Lady Gaga's third single, which managed the Australian top twenty. After 13 weeks in the Australian charts Eh, Eh was awarded with gold. In New Zealand, Eh, Eh debuted on 19 January 2009 to 40th place after a few weeks in the charts reached Eh, Eh its peak position at number 9, where it remained three weeks unchanged and thus finally, the third top ten hit for Lady Gaga was in New Zealand.
