Marriages in court was a German television series on ZDF. This approach was in line for the most part the ARD series " The television shall sit ", which started in 1961; but moved fictional marriage dramas in the center. In documentary style, trailing or fictional cases were negotiated by real lawyers and judges and accompanied with legal commentaries.

Writer and director Rupert Essberger, the " meets The television court " already worked for, headed the mission until 1997. Thereafter Clemens Keiffenheim took over the management.

In July 2000, the format was discontinued.
