Einsfestival

One Festival ( until 4 September 2009: One Festival) is a German television station. It is an additional offer of ARD in digital satellite, cable television and IPTV (ARD Digital). In some regions, the program can also be received via antenna, terrestrial digital television. The range is currently 41.3 % of all TV households, corresponding to the degree of digitization of television homes in Germany on 1 January 2010. Throughout Germany, is to receive EinsFestival also by Zattoo.

EinsFestival depends on self-reported especially at a young public law public until October 2005, the program was aimed at an older audience.

Program

The program of a festival mainly includes feature and television films, television series, documentaries, magazine programs as well as music ( especially rock and pop ). In the program listing are mainly to acquisitions from the programs of ARD and its partners transmitter, which broadcasts be reconstituted according to its own program schedule. It covers both new productions and high-quality programs of the recent past and television productions from the archives of the ARD.

Monday to Friday, the self-produced transmission ONE NEXT is broadcast with the moderators Thilo Jahn, Nadia Kailouli and 1Live presenter Anja Backhaus since 29 September 2008. The topics on the program often trade of new developments, new trends and zeitgeist phenomena. In the program there are several fixed headings, as in the category Press Reloaded current articles from web and print are discussed critically. Under the headings Backhaus world Jahns world and Kailoulis world visit the moderators in short reportages their favorite places or interview people of current events. Often, the presenters test the possibility of special activities, cooking, sewing, fly, stick or produce something themselves Fridays there is a talc - Issue One further asked, in each of which a studio guest is interviewed. At the end of every show a photo of a sunset is shown, which was sent in by viewers.

Productions of EinsFestival addition NEXT ONE broadcasts NightWash ( since November 2009), cold mirror (since October 2010), the 1Live Talk with Mrs. Henry ( since September 2011) and The very best Sebastian Winkler show ( also since September 2011).

Nightwash ran 2001-2006 on WDR television, later on Comedy Central. Meanwhile, new, exclusively for EinsFestival produced episodes are broadcast. Cold Mirror is a clip show, hosted by Kathrin Fricke aka cold mirror, a German Youtube star and will be presented. The 1Live Talk with Mrs. Henry is produced in cooperation with 1LIVE and moderated by Sabine Heinrich - originally by the young radio station WDR known. The very best Sebastian Winkler show is a co-production with Bayerischer Rundfunk and is moderated by Sebastian Winkler.

The talk show The bug with Thomas Bug is now no longer broadcast.

Since 2 June 2008, a customized version of teletext is broadcast with detailed program information on a festival.

The editorial responsibility for a festival is in October 2005 at the West German Radio Cologne ( WDR).

Since the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens ARD and ZDF use their digital programs in order to additionally report of the Olympic Games can. This option was used in 2012 in order to transmit at the same time held games can also be at the 2008 European Football Championship, FIFA World Cup 2010 and the European Football Championship.

HDTV broadcasting

On the HDTV test channel ARD Eins Festival HD test transmissions are sent. A control operation of EinsFestival HD is not planned until 2014, but the station is since 1 June 2012 on surprising with the regular TV program on air viewers editors assume that this broadcast will run permanently. Although the transmitter uses the H.264 video codec, but will be broadcast on a DVB- S transponder with some SD programs of WDR and RBTV so can receive with suitable software and old satellite TV cards on the transmitter.
