Eisenstein (Ore Mountains)

The Eisenstein at Aue seen from Bear reason. Right in the background of Burkhardt Forest at Louder ( Saxony).

The Eisenstein is a 516.2 meter high mountain in the Saxon part of the Western Ore Mountains. He is one of the valley of the town of Aue by 150 to 200 meters above towering mountains and completely forested.

While the mountain to the east gently continues towards upper panhandle in the higher Hirschberg, the northwest slope in the direction of the bear ground, the western slope after Niederpfannenstiel and especially the southern slopes fall into Schwarzwassertal from steep and rocky part. Nevertheless, the local link road runs along the south slope of Aue to upper panhandle. Below the road there is a still unused quarry.
