Eitel Frederick of Zollern

Eitel Friedrich, the younger of Zollern (* 1454, † June 27, 1490, Montfoort ) was a Dutch admiral.

He was the third son of Jobst Nikolaus von Hohenzollern (1433-1488) and his wife Agnes of becoming mountain Heiligenberg ( 1434-1467 ).

Life

Eitel Friedrich was a follower of Maximilian I to Holland to fight an uprising of Flemish. It was built in 1488 successor of Philip of Cleves - Ravenstein, who had moved to the side of the insurgents. He died during the siege of Montfoort.

He is not the only Zollern, who died in this war, even before his younger brothers died Friedrich Albrecht on July 16, 1483 as an imperial colonel at the siege of Utrecht and Johann Friedrich on November 18, 1483 as an imperial colonel in the battle of Dendermonde.
