Pötzleinsdorfer Sports Club

Before the season 1931/32 was again a change in classification, after the first two teams of the two groups of the first class are required to complete a final round. In the first group, the WEV and HC Waehring qualified for the final round, the PSC and the WAC in the second group. In the game on 29 January 1932 on the Engelmann - space then the championship between the Pötzleinsdorfer Sports Club and the Vienna skating club decides. Hockey Club Engelmann

The hockey club Engelmann ( EKE ) was established on November 21, 1932 by renaming from the Pötzleinsdorfer Sports Club. Two players - Hans Tatzer and Hans Schneider - the EKE participated from May 18 to August 2, 1937 on the Travel Vienna Ice Skating Association ( WEV ) to South Africa for the opening of the Ice Palace in Johannesburg. During the opening eight games against South Africa were held South African representative teams and local clubs.

1936 won the EKE Wiener Championship and qualified for the final against the provincial champions at the state championship. Since the Klagenfurt athletics sports club did not compete for this game, the EKE was declared the national champion.

In the season 1937/38, the EKE played together with the WEV, Wiener AC and EK Brigittenau in the league of the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation to the Vienna Cup and reached the first place, WEV was second. Both teams thus played in the State League along with the KAC and the German Sports Club Leoben to the Austrian National Championship title in 1938. Here won the Hockey Club Engelmann before Klagenfurt athletics sports club. The decision for the championship began on March 1, 1938 in Game EK Engelmann - Wiener EV, as the EKE the WEV defeated thanks to goals from Tatzer, Voit and Zehetmayer 3-2 and thus Austrian champion 1938.

With the annexation of Austria in March 1938, no Austrian Championships were possible. In the German Ice Hockey Cup 1938/39, the EKE was assigned as Austrian Hockey Champion of Group A and Group B of the KAC. Against the EKE played with teams such as the Berlin Schlittschuhclub, the Rastenburger SV, ESV feet and the LTCC Rot-Weiß Berlin. EKE and Berlin Schlittschuhclub reached the semi-finals on points with 6:2. There they defeated their opponents and reach the final. 8000 spectators at the Hockey Club Engelmann defeated the Berlin Schlittschuhclub 1-0 through a goal from Hans Schneider 17 seconds before the final whistle.

After the Second World War, the club moved from the destroyed Engelmann space on the WEV the plant. Also on the new place of EK Engelmann celebrated his successes and won the first post-war championship of the season 1945 /46.

In 1948, the Vienna Ice Skating Association and the EK Engelmann from synergistic reasons - they both played in the same place - the Vienna Ice Sports Association. Wiener EC celebrated until its dissolution in 1951 in the years 1949, 1950 and 1951, at least three times in a row, winning the Austrian Championship title. After the dissolution of the Vienna EG EK Engelmann came back as an independent club in the championship, which was won in 1956 and again in 1957. In 1957, the club was finally disbanded for economic reasons.
