Ekaterina Korbut

Ekaterina Korbut Valerevna (Russian Екатерина Валерьевна Корбут; born February 9, 1985 in Tashkent) is a Russian chess player.

Life

She learned to play chess at age nine and was trained early on by the Uzbek coaches and referees Sergey Pinchuk. She moved with her family and her coach when she was 13 years old after Oryol, then to St. Petersburg, where she began to study economics. There she was trained in the association of Marat Makarov and for tournaments IM Oleg Biriukov.

Individual successes

In October 2000, she was in Kallithea (Chalkidiki ) at the European Youth Championships U18 third parties.
