Ekaterina Stolyarova
Yekaterina Andrejewna Stoljarowa (Russian Екатерина Андреевна Столярова; born April 25, 1988 in Moscow) is a Russian freestyle skier. She specializes in the moguls and dual moguls mogul disciplines.
Biography
Stoljarowa took part in the European Cup from March 2004 onwards. Her debut in the World Cup they had on 14 December 2005 in Tignes, where they went on the 24th Place. This season, another four European Cup victories were added, at the Junior World Championship 2006, she won the gold medal in the moguls competition. After she had become 2007 Tenth in the World Cup, thus achieving the best result, she successfully defended her title at the Junior World Championship in 2007 and also finished second in dual moguls.
On January 20, 2008 Stoljarowa succeeded in Lake Placid, the first podium finish in the World Cup, six days later, she won her only previous World Cup victory in Mont Gabriel. At the end of the season they finished in eighth place in the discipline standings. A fourth place in the following season 2008/ 09 was their best result in the World Cup 2009, she was eighth. Also in the 2009/10 season it was not enough for a podium finish. In the World Cup, they did not have a sixth addition, at the 2010 Winter Olympics they finished seventh.
In the season 2010/11 Stoljarowa succeeded in boosting. She achieved the end of January 2011 in Calgary after more than three years back a podium. As Fourth of moguls competition at the World Championships 2011, she just missed a medal.
