Ekaterina Vetkova

Ekaterina Vladimirovna Wetkowa (Russian Екатерина Владимировна Веткова, scientific transliteration Ekaterina Vladimirovna Vetkova; born August 1, 1986 in Sysran ) is a Russian handball player.

Wetkowa stood from 2004 to 2007 the Russian first division club HC Lada Togliatti under contract. During this period she won in 2005 and 2006, the Russian Cup in 2007 and the Russian Cup. Her next stop was the League rival Zvezda Zvenigorod, with whom she won the 2008 EHF Champions League and EHF Champions Trophy. In 2011, the county player joined the Romanian top CS Oltchim Ramnicu Valcea. With Oltchim they won the championship in seasons 2011/12 and 2012/13. To get more play, she joined in December 2012 to the Russian club GK Astrachanotschka. From the summer of 2014, it runs on the Romanian first division CSM Bucureşti.

Wetkowa belongs to the levy of the Russian national team. With Russia, they won the 2009 World Championship. In addition, she won the bronze medal at the European Championships 2008.
