Eksjö Municipality

Eksjö is a municipality (in Swedish kommun ) in the Swedish province of Jönköping County, the historical province of Småland. The main town of the municipality is Eksjö.

Geography

The highest points of the community are the Kulla Backar at 342 meters above sea level and the Skuruhatt with 337 meters.

Economy

In the town the public sector is the largest with about 40 % of all employees. In addition to the community at the two next largest employers are the garrison Eksjö and Höglandssjukhuset, the municipal hospital.
