El Limón is a town in the northwest of the state of Aragua in Venezuela. It is located on the banks of the river El Limón, before the National Park Henri Pittier. It is the administrative seat of the municipality of Mario Briceño Iragorry.

History

The area where now El Limón is, during the colonial period was part of an hacienda, where sugar cane was grown. The first owner was the captain Don Diego de Ovalle, a Portuguese. Later, the region was sold to different people.
