The airport al - Ubayyid (English El Obeid Airport ) is a commercial airport in the city of al - Ubayyid in Sudan.

History

In the 1970s and 1980s the airport al - Ubayyid was a major goal for the Verso Gung flights to the United Nations World Food Programme from Lokichoggio (Kenya ) to combat the famine in the Sahel zone in the region of Sudan.
