El Salam Maritime Transport

The El Salam Maritime Transport Company is the largest private shipping company in Egypt and the Middle East. It operates a fleet of 15 ferries in the Red Sea connecting the ports in Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

On 2 February 2006, the ferry Al -Salam Boccaccio 98 sank the company.
