The Elbląg ( Elbing German ) is a 14.5 km long river in north-eastern Poland, which flows through the city of the same name Elbląg ( Elbing ).
Wulfstan, an Anglo-Saxon merchants in the late 9th century, in his report of his journey from Hedeby to the Prussian trading center Truso describes the river on Anglo-Saxon as Ilfing.
The Elbing drains the Drużno (Polish Druzno ) and flows into the Vistula Lagoon and the Baltic Sea. It is navigable for its entire length and connects as a shipping lane to Elbląg port with the Vistula Lagoon.
