Elbows Out

Elbows Out ( splayed elbow) is called an Attic black-figure vase - painters, worked about 550/540 - 520 BC in Athens.

He received his Notnamen due to the highly exaggerated gestures and strange anatomy of his dancing figures. Together with the affecter he is counted among the black- Mannieristen. He painted for example edge shells ( and thus is also one of the small masters ) and neck amphorae, the latter had a special form with a heavy, egg-shaped body. The amphorae he decorated with several friezes. His band shells remind Tleson and Lydos, stay with the Animals but more as part of the normal ordinary. He also painted a Lydion, which was very rare set of Attic pottery. He hardly shows mythological scenes but does like love scenes dar. He is often associated not only with the affecter, but also with the Amasis Painter, but should not be overstated, especially the connection to the Amasis Painter.
