Geographical location

The community is located about seven kilometers east of Ulm / Neu- Ulm on the Danube in central Bavaria.

History

1294 sold Konrad von Plochingen Elchingen (today Unterelchingen ) at the Cistercian monastery of Salem, in the possession of ( sub) Elchingen remained until the secularization in 1802. Attractions

  • The Catholic Church of St. Lawrence in the center of Thalfingen.
  • North of Thalfingen is the truck stop Seligweiler.
