Eldar Shafir

Eldar Shafir is an American psychologist and the death of William Stewart Professor of Psychology and Public Affairs at Princeton University.

Training

Shafir 1984 he received his BA from Brown University (Honors ) in Cognitive Science with a grade of magna cum laude, where his study was focused on the topics of logic and philosophy of science. After his undergraduate studies Shafir moved to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which he in 1988 a Ph.D. lent in cognitive science.

Professional career

After receiving his doctorate Eldar Shafir worked for a year as a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University before accepting in 1989 a position as Assistant Professor at Princeton University before he was in 1995 promoted to Associate Professor and in 1999 finally the William Stewart death Professor of Psychology and Public affairs at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs received. During this time, however, since Shafir was also parallel at Harvard University (1994-1995), University of Chicago (1998), Universita Ca 'Foscari di Venezia ( 2002-2003), Ailun (2006 ), University Pompeu Fabra (2007 - 2008) and the Universidad Torcuato di Tella (2012-2013 ) visiting Professor, at the Russell Sage Foundation (1993 ) visiting Fellow, a Fellow of the Institute for Advanced Studies at the Hebrew University (1994) and a professor at the Graduate School of Business Leadership in Monterrey ( 1997-2002).
