Elder Herrera

Élder Herrera Cortes ( born December 28, 1968 in Cali ) is a Colombian road racing cyclist.

Élder Herrera began his career in 1990 at the U.S. Cycling Team American Commerce National Bank. In 1992 he won the overall title at the Vuelta al Valle del Cauca and 1999, he was successful in the Vuelta a Mendoza. In 2000 he won a stage of the Vuelta a Colombia and the Clásico RCN. As of the 2001 season, he went 05 Orbitel for the Colombian team. In his second year there, he was first overall in the Vuelta a Tolima and he was again at a portion of the Cláscio RCN successful. In 2003, Herrera Colombian champion in the road race and he won a stage of the Clasica Integración de la Guadua Gobernación de Risaralda and at the Vuelta a Boyaca. In 2004, he won the seventh stage of the Vuelta de Higuito for himself and in 2006 he was successful in a section of the Clásico RCN. In the 2007 season, Herrera won with his team the team time trial at the Vuelta a Chiriquí and he won the eleventh stage. In 2009 he was successful the team time trial of the Vuelta a Colombia.
