Electronic symbol

A component is a used in a circuit diagram of electrical engineering, standardized, graphical symbol for components, parts, equipment parts, equipment and wiring within an electrical circuit. By such a switching signal, the circuit can be easily created and detected much faster. Another application is the representation of equivalent circuit diagrams.

DIN

In Germany electrical schematic symbols by DIN EN 60617 Graphical symbols for diagrams and IEC 60617 are standardized. Replace since 1996-1998, DIN 40700 / DIN 40900th

Based on the IEC numbers, a new 5-digit system ( number range of 60000-69999 ) is used since the beginning of 1997. The advantage is that the future international, European and national standards will have the same number. Older designation such as IEC 617 are presented in new editions or revisions as IEC 60617, which means that it will 60000 count towards the initial reference. Even when referencing the 5-digit number will be found - even if a revision should not have taken place.

In North America the ANSI / IEEE Std 91a - 1991 IEEE Graphic Symbols for Logic Functions, IEEE Std 315-1986 come ( Reaffirmed 1993) / ANSI Y32.2 -1975 ( Reaffirmed 1989) / CSA Z99 -1975 Graphic Symbols for Electrical and Electronics Diagrams and NEMA standards Publication ICS 19-2002 Industrial Control and Systems: Diagrams, Device Designations, and Symbols for use.

Various switching characters

For more general circuit symbols can be found in the list of circuit symbols and the divested list of character ( Electrical / Electronics ) and list of character ( fluid power ). In digital technology are used in logic gates before special circuit symbols.
