Elena Runggaldier

Elena Runggaldier (* July 10, 1990 in Bolzano ) is an Italian ski jumper.

Career

Elena Runggaldier grew up in Santa Cristina and has a Handesoberschul degree ( Abitur), the following architectural studies, she had, however, stopped to devote himself full of sports career. She was discovered at the age of 12 years from their manager Romed Moroder, as they are still interested in cross country skiing. Currently starts for G. S. Fiamme Gialle. In January 2005 she made her debut in the FIS Ski Jumping Continental Cup and was on her first jump in Planica 23 and thus won first points. With number 13 the Italian in 2009 reached its worst Junior World Cup result in Štrbské Pleso. Then started Runggaldier at the first Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec, was carried out at the women's ski jumping. However, when 32 they just missed qualifying for the final round. After she brought strongly fluctuating performances in the 2009/10 season in the Continental Cup, she won the gold medal at the Junior World Championship 2010 in Hinterzarten. Family

Her younger brother is the Nordic combined Mattia Runggaldier and her older brother 's ski jumping coach in the Ski Club Gardena Raiffeisen.
