Eli Aflalo

Eli Aflalo (Hebrew אלי אפללו, born September 8, 1952 in Casablanca) is an Israeli politician and former Minister for the reception of immigrants.

Aflalo 1962 moved to Israel, where he did his military service. He became in 2003 deputy in the Knesset for Likud and was appointed on 30 March 2005 as Deputy Minister for Industry, Economy and Trade. On 14 July 2008 he was Minister for the reception of immigrants. The Office he led until March 2009. Aflalo could retain his seat in the 2009 elections, after he was number 14 of the list of Kadima. In 2012 he resigned from the Knesset.
