Elibelinde

Elibelinde ( Turkish for " hands on hips " ) refers to a common motif on kilims ( Turkish tapestries ), which shows a female figure. The arms of the figure are represented by two inwardly facing hook, the body of woman in general by a triangle or a diamond, her head usually asked by the top diamond. The elibelinde regarded as fertility and mother symbol.
