Élie-Abel Carrière

Élie -Abel Carrière ( born June 4, 1818 in May-en - Multian in the French department of Seine -et -Marne, † August 17, 1896 in Paris) was a French gardener, botanist and writer. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Carrière "; earlier was also the abbreviation " Carr. " ​​in use.

Life and work

Taxonomic ceremony

The plant genus Carrierea Franch. from the family willow family ( Salicaceae ) has been named after him.
