Élie Hoarau

Élie Hoarau ( born July 8, 1938 in Sainte -Suzanne, Réunion ) is a French politician Parti Communiste the réunionnais.

Life

Hoarau studied chemistry. He is the General Secretary of the Parti Communiste réunionnais in Réunion. From 1982 to 2001, Hoarau mayor of Saint -Pierre. From 1986 to 1987, from 1988 to 1993 and from 1997 to 2001 he sat in each case as a deputy in the French National Assembly. Hoarau was from 2009 to January 4, 2012 Member of the European Parliament. He is married to the Senator gelita Hoarau.
