Élie Semoun

Élie Semoun (real name: Elie Semhoun, born October 16, 1963 in Antony ) is a French humorist, author, writer and singer.

Life

Semoun was born to a Jewish- Moroccan family. At the age of 17, he already had two collections of poems and two plays (La Pièce décousue and La Pièce d' identité, dt: The fractionated piece and the identity card ) is written. His career as a humorist began in 1990 with his fellow Dieudonné. He had his first appearance in 1991 at the legendary Café de la Gare. This is followed by successful performances at the Splendid, at the Palais des Glaces and the Casino de Paris. Semoun and Dieudonné formed one of the most popular comedy duo of the 1990s. In 1997, the duo separates. Semoun has a complicated and strained relationship with his former colleagues since the separation. First of all enemies, then reconciled, they moved away from each other again at public, caused by political statements of Dieudonné polemics.

Semoun Les petites annonces remained (German: Classifieds ) successfully with Franck Dubosc and came with his one -man show Élie et Semoun (German: Élie and Semoun ) on. He supported Bertrand Delanoë, mayor of Paris in the 2001 election and Lionel Jospin in the presidential elections of 2002. In 2003 he released the album Chansons French vaudeville. Early in 2005, be -authored with Franck Dubosc and Muriel Robin new piece Élie Semoun se prend pour qui? (English: Who is Elie Semoun holds? ) out. In 2007 came his new album Sur le fil (English: On the thread ) out. In the summer of 2007 he played for the last time his performance Élie Semoun se prend pour qui? in the arenas of Doue -la -Fontaine on the occasion of the festival of Anjou. In 2008, Jokes of Élie Semoun were published on the package inner side of the French Carambar - chewy candies, which are also used in the marketing concept of candy. Also in 2008, graduated Semoun a guest appearance in the film 15 ans et demi ....

Semoun is the first cousin of Patrick Bruel.
