Eline Berings

Eline Bering ( born May 28, 1986 in Ghent) is a Belgian athlete who participates in the 100 - meter hurdles. In 2005, she became Junior World Champion and as a Senior she won at the 2009 European Indoor Championships 60m hurdles gold medal.

Bering was born in Ghent. As a junior, she finished seventh at the European Junior Championships, missed the finals at the Junior World Championships in 2004 and won the gold medal at the Junior European Championships. She took part in the European Championships in 2006, but with a time of 13:42 s she left after the first round. She was also at the 2007 European Indoor Championships, where she was eighth.

Awards

In 2010 she received the Golden Spike as Belgium's best athlete of 2009. Together with her, Jonathan Borlée was excellent.
