Elisabeth Elliot

Elisabeth Elliot ( born December 21, 1926) is an American evangelical missionary, author and lecturer.

Life

Elisabeth Elliot was born in Belgium, the daughter of a missionary family Howard. In 1948 she completed her education at Wheaton College and was preparing for it, emigrate as a missionary to South America. In 1952 she began her work in the Andes. 1953 she married Jim Elliot, who had also studied at Wheaton College. The Elliots then worked as missionaries in the eastern part of Ecuador. The marriage produced a daughter emerged. In January 1956 her husband and four other missionaries were killed by a group of Huaorani. She continued her missionary activities continued after the death of her husband.
