Elisabeth Hilmo Meyer ( born November 29, 1976 in Trondheim, Norway ) is a former Norwegian handball player.

Career

Elisabeth Hilmo Meyer began seven years playing handball at the Norwegian club Selbu IL. For the women's team of Selbu IL she ran later on in the highest Norwegian league. After Selbu relegation in 2001, she was loaned to the first division Byåsen IL. After Selbu a year later back in the Bundesliga, the right-handed returned to the squad Selbu. From the season 2004/ 05 the circle player for Larvik HK ran on. With Larvik they won the championship in seasons 2004/ 05, 2005/ 06 and 2006/ 07. During the 2007/ 08 season Hilmo was pregnant, after she ended her career in Larvik in December 2007. Since Hilmo in their last season still denied six league matches, she wore in the 2007/ 08 season at also on winning the championship.

Elisabeth Hilmo Meyer graduated 180 appearances for the Norwegian national handball team in which they scored 282 hits. With the Norwegian selection they triumphed in the World Cup in 1999 and in 2001 Vice World Champion. At the European Championships she won in 1998 and 2004 the European title. 2000 won the bronze medal at the Norwegian Olympic Games.

Private

Hilmo married in 2011, her long-time friend Christian Meyer, a former Norwegian ski jumper. They have two children together.
