Elizabeth of the Palatinate (* November 16, 1483 in Heidelberg, † June 24, 1522 in Baden- Baden) from the family of Wittelsbach was a Countess Palatine of simmering and succession by marriage Countess of Hesse- Marburg and Margravine of Baden.

Life

Elizabeth was a daughter of the Elector Philipp of the Palatinate (1448-1508) from his marriage to Margaret (1456-1501), daughter of Duke Louis IX. of Bavaria- Landshut.

She married her first husband on February 12, 1496 in Heidelberg Landgraf Wilhelm III. of Hesse- Marburg ( 1471-1500 ). The nuptials took place but not until 1498 in Frankfurt am Main.
