Elitegroup Computer Systems

ECS ( Elitegroup Computer Systems, Chinese精英 电脑, Pinyin Jing Ying Diànnǎo ) is a Taiwanese manufacturer of computer hardware, mainly motherboard. The company was founded in 1987 in Taipei / Taiwan and is now led by Chairman Johnson Chiang of Taipei / Taiwan from.

In September 1994, ECS Elitegroup was ever listed as the first motherboard manufacturer on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. ECS now has offices in North America, Europe and in several Pacific Rim.

Currently, more than 9,500 employees worldwide work for ECS and produced in 2008, over 21 million motherboards. This represents about 15 percent of global demand for motherboards. This ECS belongs together with ASUSTeK ( 21 million), Gigabyte ( 19 million) and MSI ( 16 million) of the four largest motherboard manufacturers in the world.

Meanwhile ECS Elitegroup has its development and production, partly through acquisitions to expand the production of notebook PCs, Entertainment PCs Desknote series and hardware components, and multimedia products.
