Lovejoy Bridge

The Ellis River is a left tributary of the Androscoggin River in Oxford County in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Maine.

The Ellis River forms the outflow of Ellis Pond. It flows initially in a predominantly south-westerly direction to Andover. The Maine State Route 120 runs along the river. In Andover West Branch Ellis River flows from the right into the river. Subsequently, the Ellis River turns to the south-southeast, passing South Andover. Now the Maine State Route 5 follows the strongly meandering in the lower reaches of the river. Finally, the Ellis River meets the flowing eastward Androscoggin River. The Ellis River has a length of 37 km.
