Elmar Kaljot

Elmar Kaljot (* November 15, 1901 in Tallinn, † January 8, 1969 in New York City ) was an Estonian football player and coach.

Career

Elmar Kaljot played in his active career for the Estonian capital clubs Tallinna JK Tallinna Kalev and JK. With the Tallinna JK Kaljot could in the years 1923 to 1936 a few times the championship title win including two as a coach. For Estonia Kaljot debuted on September 18, 1923 against the Soviet Union in a friendly match where he was able to achieve two goals. At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1924, he took with the Estonian national team football competitions, retired from there but after a loss to the national football team of the United States. In addition Kaljot twice took part in the Baltic Cup. For its first participation in 1928, he finished second with Estonia, in the following year at the Baltic Cup 1929, he won the title. The last international match of 25 he played between 1923 to 1929 he made against Latvia in September 1929.

In 1944 he came before it in 1948 in the United States emigrated to Germany.
