Elmer Iseler Singers

The Elmer Iseler Singers are a professional choir in Toronto, Canada.

The choir consists of twenty singers and is directed by Lydia Adams. It was founded in 1979 by Elmer Iseler. His international reputation, the choir has won through his many appearances in concerts, festivals and through radio and television broadcasts. His repertoire consists of choral music from five centuries. He performs regularly (eg Peter- Anthony Togni ) on works by contemporary composers and works closely with them.

The singers are very much appreciated by participating in workshops and master classes. From 1997 to 2007 EIS was the Choir -in -Residence of the musical faculty of the University of Toronto. The choir has had an intensive studio activity with more than fifty recordings that apply to many choirs and conductors as a guide to their repertoire. With his teaching approach, Get Music, which was launched in 2007, supports the choir in symposia and workshops, schools and choirs in musical training.
