Els Vader

Els Vader (actually Elisabeth Cornelia Vader, married Scharnhorst; * September 24, 1959 in Vlissingen ) is a former Dutch sprinter.

At the Olympic Games in 1980 she left about 100 m from the lead and reached about 200 m the semi-finals.

About 200 m it was at the Indoor Athletics Championships in Milan in 1982 and 1983 in Budapest each fourth. At the World Athletics Championships 1983 in Helsinki, she came over 100m quarter-finals, as well as in the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, where they penetrated about 200 meters semi-finals.

At the European Indoor Championships in 1985 in Piraeus, she won bronze over 200 meters and was fifth over 60 m, and at the European Athletics Championships 1986 in Stuttgart, she came up with the Dutch team in the 4 x 100 - meter relay to seventh Place.

In 1987, she was about 60 m at the Fourth European Indoor Championships in Liévin and sixth at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Indianapolis. At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 she left about 100 m in the quarter-finals and in the 4 x 100 - meter relay team in the semifinals.

Five times she became Dutch champion in the 100 m ( 1979-1982, 1984) and seven times over 200 m ( 1979 to 1982, 1984, 1986, 1988 ). In the hall she took six times the national title over 60 m ( 1979-1982, 1984, 1985) and five times over 200 m (1982, 1984, 1985, 1987, 1988).
