Elsa BenÃtez
Elsa Benítez ( born December 8, 1977 in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico) is a Mexican fashion model.
Biography
She started her career after winning a model competition in Costa Rica in 1995. Having Linda Evangelista was one of their youth idols, she chose her dream a Modellkarierre to follow. First appearances in Mexico soon followed in the U.S. and in Europe.
In 1996, she appeared three times on the front page of Italian "Vogue " issue: in April, August and finally in September. After a contract with the Elite modeling agency, she appeared on the covers of many magazines such as "Elle ", " glamor ", " Mademoiselle ", " Marie Claire " and others.
Other engagements in an advertisement followed. She worked for Dolce & Gabbana, Macy's, Episode, INC, J.Crew, Oscar de la Renta, Rena Lange, Nine West, Valentino, and Jones New York Victoria 's Secret. In 1999, she appeared in the Pirelli Calendar. Elsa Benitez is also planning to get into the movie business and has taken for acting lessons. She hopes to perform in Spanish and English productions.
She was married to former NBA player Rony Seikaly. Marriage, from which emerged a daughter, got divorced in the summer of 2005.
Benítez has been confirmed as the host of Mexico 's Next Top Model.
