Else- Marthe Sørlie Lybekk ( born September 11, 1978 in Gjøvik, Norway ) is a former Norwegian handball player.

Career

The 1.77 m wide circle runner came by clubs such as Snertingdal IF, dead HK, North beach IF, the HCL again to North beach. In 2010, she ended her career.

The Norwegian played five seasons in the Bundesliga Germany for the HCL. The draft final player was also captain of the national league.

Also in the Norwegian national team, with which it was once the world, three times European champion and Olympic champion once, it was an important player. Not without reason it was recorded in 2006 after a one-year hiatus in the squad. At the World Cup in France in 2007, she was Vice World Champion. A year later she won at the Olympic Games gold medal and was also elected to the All-Star Team. After the Olympic victory, she ended her international career.

Sørlie Lybekk was elected in May 2013 as vice president of Norges Håndballforbunds.

Trivia

Your sister Ragnhild Sørlie also played with Else -Marthe at HCL. Her husband Preben Lybekk is former Danish handball player and acted in their final game at HC Leipzig as a coach.
