Else Rambausek

Else Rambausek, married Else Rambausek - Salzer ( born December 2, 1907 in Purkersdorf; † August 14, 1994 in Vienna) was an Austrian actress and singer.

After a visit to a lyceum she graduated from the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. She appeared at various theaters (such as the Princely Reuss Theater in Gera at Walter Bruno Iltz ) with and revue theaters, especially in Vienna operettas and musical comedies. Even as a singer, particularly as an interpreter of the Viennese song she made a name for himself. When in 1945 the Raimund Theater was taken with the musical comedy The Dreimaederlhaus back into operation, it was one of the performers.

Also at the Löwinger stage the people actress Else Rambausek was seen in 1959 or the Operetta Mörbisch as Princess Bocena in the operetta Countess Maritza. However, they also acted in theater performances as 1964 in The Threepenny Opera at the Theater an der Wien as Celia Peachum. She also worked for radio.

Since 1951, she took on supporting roles in the typical home movies, music, films and film comedies of the time. She embodied in these strips usually somewhat simple-minded housekeepers or other little serious female persons. Rambausek was married to Charles Salzer.

Else Rambausek is buried in the cemetery in Purkersdorf.
