The Elsenbach

Geography

The creek is formed by the confluence of the 4.0 km long Lollenbachs ( TVC: 276 562 ) and the 4.3 km long Reingser Bach ( TVC: 27656 ) at 157 m above sea level. NN. The river first flows in a northwesterly direction, applies after about two kilometers run its course to the west. The Elsenbach Ergste wraps around the north and in the south west Villigst before when lying on the other side Ruhr Wandhofen to 102 m above sea level. NN flows into the Ruhr.

The creek overcomes on his 6 km long route an altitude difference of 55 m, corresponding to an average bed slope of 9.2 ‰. It drains a 17.597 km ² large catchment area over the Ruhr and Rhine to the North Sea.

The Elsenbach gives the Elsebad his name. This volunteer -run swimming pool in Ergste was fed by the Elsenbach with water.

After the waters of the directory NRW Elsenbach has a length of 10.3 km. However, the 4.3 km long Reingser Bach is included.
