Elvir Laković Laka

Elvir Laković Laka ( born March 15, 1969 in Goražde ), also known by his stage name Laka, is a Bosnian singer. He represented his country at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade.

Biography

Elvir Laković Laka was born in Goražde in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina. The budding guitarist attended the Music Academy of his native town, but did not share the local learning methods and ways of looking at the music and broke off his studies. Then he earned as a street musician in Goražde his livelihood and denied some rock-' n' -roll concerts, founded with friends from school band Deformacija poreza.

A wide audience as an individual artist Laka 1998, known by the published song Sam Se Razočar'o with which it was granted in his home country great success. A year later, he won with the formation Deformacija poreza and the song Razocaro a second place at a music festival, after which the national television channels TVBiH a music video produced. After another solo projects in which he was involved as a songwriter, Laka won with Moro (2003), the National Film Award for Best Davorin rock song. In 2004 he went to New York. The founding his own band, however, was not successful and two and a half years later, he returned to his home country.

Published in 2007, Laka with ZEC his first solo album, which was later won awards and published in Croatia. A year later, a jury gave the book written by him, together with his younger sister Mirela interpreted Title Pokušaj preference, Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Euro Vision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade to represent. The held in the local language pop rock number could be placed on the ESC semi-final on 20 May 2008 under the ten most popular posts, which meant a place in the four days later held ESC final.
