Emanuel Nobs

Emanuel Nobs ( born December 12, 1910 in Kesswil on Lake Constance, † 1985) was a Swiss painter.

Nobs grew up as the son of a farmer, and served during the Second World War in the Swiss Army as a border guard. In 1957 he published his first work, St. Mary in Venice, in which he recorded his experiences in World War II.
