Émile Paganon

Émile Paganon ( born July 19, 1916 in Thones, † January 25, 2012 in Bourg -Saint- Maurice) was a French officer in the Chasseurs alpins retired and former military patrol runners.

He was, among others, at the Olympic Winter Games in 1948 in St. Moritz captain of the French team in Vorführbewerb military patrol run that scored the fifth place.

Paganon had with his wife Herminie already a son and lived in the Vercors, as it was used during the Second World War in rank Sergent chief from 1941 to 1943 as the leader of a platoon at Skiaufklärer - 6e Battalion de Chasseurs alpins in Gresse. In January 1943 their son died. In the following years of the war he was employed in Savoy as a lieutenant in the 3rd Company of the Battalion de Chasseurs 7e alpins. Paganon lived the last years in a nursing home in Bourg -Saint -Maurice where he died in 2012.
